So let’s say on average you pay $600 per semester and you go five years like me, that’s a total of $6,000 just for freaking books. I even bought my books off the internet which probably saved me somewhere around $200. I think that you should be able to rent the books from the bookstore for a flat rate of like $25 or $50, and then at the end of the semester, if you don’t wreck the book or lose it you will get your money back. You might ask well what happens if I rented a book and never returned it, well you would get charged full price for it and it would just go on to your student fees. Books Suck!!!!
Good afternoon, everyone. I hope all of you students had a great three day break like me. Well it’s official: football offseason has officially begun. Last night we did our 20’s, vertical jump, height & weight and digger agility. Now the next three days we will be doing our max lifting so we can base our lifting schedule for the next three months. It felt really good to get back with the team and see everyone again. It’s weird being with the football team from August till November, and then it seems like everyone has their own clicks outside of football. The topic for the rest of my blog is going to be books. I think that it is absolutely ridiculous that our books for school are so freaking expensive. My total for books for just this current semester was $600. Now how a

Denver Here I Come!!!!!
Back to the grindstone we go everyone. School has officially started back up, which means I’m that closer to going to Denver for my internship with NEWMONT. I’m so excited to spend the summer in Denver and test out the big city. My boss is coming up here to Tech this week, and we will be meeting to discuss some fine details about my internship. I’m even taking Process of Particulate Systems, which is a metallurgy class. My boss wanted me to take this so I’m more fluent with lingo, which is kind of exciting. This semester I will be taking nineteen credits, while having spring football and also doing the ASMT thing. If you haven’t heard, we are getting a new HPER complex here at Tech. 
They have already gone through the process of hiring the construction company and everything. I have been chosen to represent the students’ opinion in this important process. I will be mostly representing the athletes here on campus since I’m a football player. I thought it was really an honor that I was chosen. This Christmas Break was the sweetest ever. I hung out with a lot of my old high school friends and saw a lot of people that haven’t seen since graduation. I didn’t hang out with the family as much as I would have liked, but I had a lot of fun going out and letting my hair down, so to say, for once. Last semester seemed to drag on towards the end, and I just needed to have fun. I turned twenty-one over break and it feels awesome to be twenty-one. I still can’t believe that I’m already twenty-one years old, it feels like just yesterday I was having my birthday at the Adventure Zone in Helena, if you want to talk about a fun birthday party. Well Vance and I went ice fishing on Sunday, and we caught ten Perch. That’s not a lot by any means, but we did lose four or five each. Since we caught so many Perch at our spot last year, we GPS marked it so we could find the spot every time. Our spot wasn’t as hot as it should be, but from the sounds of it, we had a good day compared to everyone else. I can’t believe how big the Perch are this year; I bet that four or five of our Perch were pounders, which are a pretty darn nice Perch. Well everyone, I have to get my class stuff ready, so I will chat with you all later.

VEGAS BABY...........
Well everyone I finally got my account fixed and I’m back in action. My account password wouldn’t log me into my account and I apologize that I have kept everyone waiting. So let’s see, my Christmas went great. Autumn, Vance and Brad came over to open presents on Christmas Eve and then Autumn and Vance went up to Malta for Christmas but Brad still came over for Christmas dinner. Then two days after Christmas was my 21st birthday. Yes everyone I’m legal to drink now. Me and a couple of my buddies went out around Helena and had a great time. So then on New Year’s Eve I left for VEGAS. Me Sully, Atrain, Chuck , Bo and Wacy all drove down to VEGAS for a couple days and then we are going to Glendale Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl which will be so sweet. We are going to paint our bodies, be looking up in the end zone, that’s where we will be sitting. So we will be getting up early in the morning so we can try and go buy some tickets to the Packers and Cardinals game. I have never been to an NFL game so I really want to go and try to get tickets. I guess if we don’t we will be going to a pub or something to watch the other football games. Then on the way back we will be playing it by ear on if we will drive back in one day or break it up. Well everyone now that my account is working again I will check back in after I get back this next week.

Christmas is Next Friday?
Well everyone its finals week here at Montana Tech and the Library is full and students have their nose to the books. Well this finals week compared to all of mine in the past has been pretty easy. I only have two finals and they are really spread out so I have time to study for them both. Well I’m getting really excited to go home for Xmas break. I’ll hopefully be doing a lot of ice fishing. Yes everyone it’s that time of the season again to bust out the ice cleats and poles and start drilling holes threw the ice. I’m stoked to hang out with some of my friends from high school and not have to worry about papers or test for about a month. So I didn’t realize that Xmas was really that close what Christmas is next Friday? I have most of my Xmas shopping done but still have to get my sister something, she’s always hard to shop for because she has everything hahaha. Well everyone I better go get some studying in talk to you all later.

The Holiday Season Is Here!!!!!
So it’s official the Holiday season is here. I’m currently watching Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town, the 1970 version. I love the Holidays; I don’t know if it’s because my birthday is two days after Christmas or what. But ever since I was little, I have just loved putting up lights and the tree. In our old house in Montana City, we had a 12-foot fake Christmas tree, which took us all day to put up. This year in Butte, I actually put up decorations at my house. 
I put up a Christmas tree and decorated it with green ornaments and silver garland. My tree would look really cool if it had white lights on it, but the tree came with colored lights, although it still looks sweet. Then I put up my grandma’s ceramic Christmas tree that was made around 1984. Then I really got into it and wrapped lights around the fence that goes around my house. I have bought my mom her present and birthday presents and haven’t bought anyone else theirs yet. Well finals are right around the corner, meaning next week.
I don’t have to take my math final because if you have 80% or greater in attendance, then your final is optional. So I only have two finals, one in Management on Tuesday and one in Biology on Thursday. My next week schedule shouldn’t be too bad. Breaking news, everyone: I will be going to Phoenix to the Fiesta Bowl to watch Boise State play TCU.

Biggest Buck Ever!!!
Hey everyone! Well just to let you know, I shot my biggest buck ever up in Malta last weekend. Vance and his dad think that it will score around 140. I have never scored a buck that I have shot. I usually just say a 4x4 or 3x3, which are just how many points the buck has. The buck I shot was a 4x4; it’s very thick and 19 inches wide. I’m going to get this buck shoulder mounted which is going to put a dent in my wallet, but I really don’t care because this is my biggest buck ever and it’s something to build off of for the rest of my hunting career.
So Thanksgiving went pretty well over at my Aunt and Uncle’s in Whitehall. There were around 16 of us eating dinner, so it was a packed house. After dinner, the girls went back to Helena to shop for Black Friday, and the guys stayed at my Uncle’s to hunt for deer. With me already shooting my buck, we were looking for a nice one for my dad. My Uncle said he had seen a nice buck the night before, but of course it never showed its face.
My dad, myself and our friend Bill went hunting today since today is the last day of hunting season. We went up to our usual spot and didn’t see a thing. If you recall from one of my old blogs, for some reason they decided to log right where our favorite spot is. So we decided to go and check our spot out since they are done logging for the year and aren’t going to start again until spring. Anyways, they weren’t in there today. After not seeing anything, we went to a different spot, and Bill ended up shooting a cow elk.
So when I’m hunting, sometimes I feel like the animals talk to each other. I know that it sounds crazy, but sometimes I’ll be walking and hear a chipmunk or a bird making noises and it makes me think. Maybe they are telling the elk that there are hunters coming. (LOL) you all probably think that I’m crazy or something, but just next time you are hunting (if you hunt) think about it when that stupid chipmunk is making noises and then you don’t see any elk.

Malta Baby!!!
Well hello everyone! I am currently sitting in the Board of Regents meeting in the SUB in Bozeman. Jen and I came down last night because we had a meeting that we thought started at 6, but didn’t start until 7. So we had to hang out in the SUB basement for an hour, which sucked. The meeting was our MAS meeting, which is where the Presidents and Vice Presidents of all the colleges in Montana meet and discuss things like bills and money to give out. Today we will leave Bozeman around one o’clock and head back to Butte. Then when we get back to Butte, I’ll be heading off to Helena to go up to Malta to do some hunting with my Dad and Vance. Hopefully I can see a nice Whitetail buck to shoot. We will be deer hunting out of a blind, which is something I’ve always wanted to try. That’s how they hunt on the hunting shows, and I’ve always thought that it really looks like a blast. Then in between deer hunting during the morning and night, we will be bird hunting in the afternoon. I have never gone bird hunting, which again is something I’ve always wanted to do, since there is a lot of shooting and I love to lay the hammer down. Well everyone, next time I will post some pictures of the animals I shoot this weekend.
