Maybe I'll stay this weekend

What a week it has been already; I can’t believe it’s already Wednesday. On Sunday we lost our intramural game, but two of our players couldn’t be there and I only played one half because I had film at 6:30 so I just played until then. Our football running workouts seem to be getting easier do to us getting more into shape every week; which is the whole purpose of it. I feel a lot stronger every time I get into the weight room; I just seem to be lifting more and more weight every day. I think it’s pretty funny because every time I go home my mom and dad tell me I keep getting thicker every time they see me. My I.T. teacher handed back our test on Tuesday; I got an 88% which I really think this sucks because I don’t agree with how computer test are given. Our test consisted of multiple choice, true false and actual Excel problems, I think that there shouldn’t be multiple choice or true false questions on Excel tests. I think that the actual excel problems should only be asked because that’s really what the class is about doing the actual problems. Maybe I’m just saying this because I only missed some multiple choice and some true false questions, and got a 100% on the actual questions. Guess what everybody I’m actually thinking about staying in Butte this weekend; I don’t think I’ve stayed a whole weekend here since football started back in August; I’ve either went home all weekend or stayed here one night. I first started to home because of hunting season and then ice fishing started. So I think I’m going to the Hooligan party to get free pizza on Friday night then go to the basketball game.

Aerosmith Guitar Hero

Holy cow it’s snowing so hard outside; I can’t even see the East Ridge. Well I had a pretty laid back weekend compared to last weekend. Hanging out with my mom on Friday was a blast; we went and ate at some Mexican restaurant. Then we came back up to Tech and went over to the bookstore and my mom kind of went on a little shopping spree. They had two racks of clothes that were on sale; my mom purchased seventeen shirts that were only four dollars a piece. She bought these for her, my dad, sister, aunt and all my little cousins. So I bought a Montana Tech polo for five dollars and a Montana Tech T-shirt. Then on Saturday my girlfriend and I went home, my mom sister and aunt were just above to leave to Missoula to shop for my sister’s birthday. So my mom is huge Rock ‘n Roll fan, she loves to play Guitar Hero. So you can only imagine how pumped she was when she heard that Aerosmith is coming out with a Guitar Hero game. So we have an intramural basketball game tonight; we haven’t started out very good this season but were hoping to pick up our game when the tournament starts.

Madden Crazy

Well it’s Friday again and another exciting week in the college life is now in the past. So in the football world we are officially half way done with our morning work outs at 5 A.M. and we have only two weeks left of mandatory lifting. But really I love to lift weights so the only difference will be what time of the day I lift at. So on Tuesday was a really exciting day for me; I got my math test back and I got a 93% on it I was so stoked to get this sucker back. So this week I have been playing tons of Madden live on the internet; I was really happy because I beat someone that is five levels ahead of me with a record of 120-123. Well for about two weeks now I have been trying to get Andrew Bishop to play Madden with me but I think that he is too scared to play against me. Last night I had an amazing dinner; I went down to my grandparent’s house. My grandfather cooked mashed potatoes and gravy, turkey, rutabagas’ and an apple pie; I’m glad I was wearing shorts that are stretchy because I ate a lot. My mom is on her way down to see me today; were going to get some lunch at Land of Magic. Then she is bringing my aunt back with here because her, my aunt and my sister are going to Missoula to shop this weekend. Well another weekend of fishing is ahead of me with my dad.

What a weekend

Well what a crazy finish to the week; it all started with a 5 A.M. running work out and then finished up with a lifting workout. After this I packed some of my clothes and some blankets so I could wash them. I made my way home around 4 o’clock and when I get home my mom, dad and I went down to our storage units we own and shoveled huge snow drifts and chipped ice in front of the doors. Lets just say I was already tired from lifting and running earlier that day so this wasn’t really what I wanted to do but my parents need help so I’m usually willing to help them. Well Saturday I slept pretty much all day until my dad and I went into town to buy some ice fishing stuff; we go and buy stuff we really don’t need but what the heck why not. Then Saturday night I drove back to Butte and went to the Tech vs. Carroll basketball game. This was my first basketball game of the year so I was pretty exciting; yelling at the Carroll players was a blast. I made out like a bandit at the game; I caught a shirt from our cheerleaders, then Levi Briese nominated me to do a thing called “name that tune” at first I didn’t want to do this and finally I gave in. I’m really glad I did “name that tune” I won a beanie, a Digger shirt and a free large pizza from Pizza Hut, so thank you Levi Briese. Then this morning I got up at 4 A.M. and picked up my grandfather and we went to Helena to go ice fishing with my dad. We ended up with I think eight Perch and one Rainbow Trout. I had a blast this weekend and I hope more weekends would be like this.

Levi Briese What A Guy

Well this week has been very exhausting so far; our first week of winter conditioning is all most over. Winter conditioning is four weeks long and is every M, W, F at 5:30 in the morning. On top of conditioning we still have our regular lifting schedule. So let’s just say after this is all over I’m going to be in excellent shape. On Wednesday was my first day of reading to elementary schools. My first stop was at Emerson Elementary School with Matt Komac and Coach Green; it was really fun the kids really seemed to enjoy my book I read, Flat Stanley. My final meeting with Sarah the Director of Career Services was on Wednesday also, it went very well we finished up my resume and talked some about summer internships. So this week I’ve been thinking of a Valentines present for my Girlfriend Abby; I ended up getting her a necklace, a sweet singing frog that sings, “Shake your money maker”, and a University of Montana water bottle. So today was a very busy day; I had to lift this morning then had class from 11 until 3; I had a math test and Excel quiz today. Tonight I was up in Prospector Hall getting help with my Excel homework from Levi Briese (what a guy). So this weekend I think that I will head home on Friday afternoon after my last class, so I can go ice fishing with my dad; I’m really pumped to go ice fishing because I didn’t go home last weekend. Well I can’t wait to go home and sleep on my own bed where my feet don’t hang over and to go ice fishing.

Hey Unlce Cliff

So Wednesday afternoon I had another meeting with Sarah the Director of Career Services; we made some final adjustments to my resume and talked about some more internship’s. Our intramural basketball was a blast on Thursday night we played an old friend from Montana City; it was a very close game until the very end. They ended beating us by I think fifteen points; but I think that the score doesn’t resemble the game at all. On Friday I traveled down to Missoula to see my Girlfriend Abby. When I got to Missoula, Abby and I went to the mall; we walked through some shops and I found a heck of a deal at Finish Line. I bought a new pair of shoes AIR TAILWIND 4’s there green and met silver they only were $49.99. That night we got some pizza from Little Caesars it was amazing I haven’t had Little Caesars pizza since they shut down in Helena. So we picked up the pizza and went down to my buddy’s dorm room and ate it. While eating we decided to watch Supper Troopers; I had never seen it before I thought it was so funny. Saturday we laid around and went to the mall again and ate some lunch at Hoagieville, I love this place they have excellent cheese fries. So my parents went down to Bozeman on Friday night to see some family. They set up my uncle’s computer so he can read my blog, so I want to say HI to my uncle Cliff. Well tonight we have another intramural basketball game at 7 I hope we can pull out our first victory. I almost forgot about what happened on Thursday night until my friend just called and reminded me; I beat Andrew Bishop in Madden 2008. He told me I’m now apart of a so called elite group of three other players that has beaten him. Now Andrew and I have probably played five games of Madden since we have got to college and he has beaten me every time. But not this time I beat him by seventeen points, I always play with the Cowboys and he always plays with the 49 whiners. I love to play Madden; I play Madden live against people all over the world. So if you ever see me around and you love to play Madden stop me and well go play.

Hulk A Mania Is Running Wild

Well its hump day and I just got back to my dorm room from dinner at my Grandparent’s house, we had a big roast, mash potatoes and gravy, steamed carrots, bread and for dessert we had rolls from Park Street Bakery. Gosh it was good; my Grandpa is an extremely good cook. On Monday’s I watch WWE which might be more known as WWF, if you don’t know what this is it stands for World Wrestling Entertainment. I started watching this when I was in Kindergarten; this actually inspired me to start wrestling. To start out my favorite wrestler was Holly Wood Hulk Hogan, and then when to The Rock (the peoples champ); he is probably my favorite wrestler of all time and now it is John Cena. I know that after you read about me loving WWE and you see me walking around campus you’re going to say, “Hey Drew WWE is phony.” Yeah I know its fake but guess what I DON’T CARE, I will be apart of the RAW fan nation until the day I die. Well on a different subject lifting this week has been going great, I lift every morning at 9:30 A.M. except on Monday’s I lift at 8:45 A.M. , this morning we had a football meeting. At this meeting we received our football shirts for the year, grade check forms and Coach Green asked for volunteers to go around and read to kids at local schools, I volunteered for this. So tomorrow night is our first intramural basketball game at 9:30 it’s pretty late to me because I’m usually sleeping by around 9. Well tomorrow also I’m going to go to my little cousin’s basketball game she plays for the Ramsey Rams; she’s playing my old grade school Montana City; I hope she crushes them.

Do you smell an upset

Well if you haven’t heard the New York Giants took part in the biggest upset ever in the NFL. Well I made my way home Friday night, it’s was my sisters birthday and we had dinner she opened her presents and ate some cake. Then after I went down to my girlfriend’s house and we played cards with her mom and then we watched TV. My dad and I planned on going ice fishing on Saturday but the wind in my dad’s words was “howling”. So on Saturday I pretty much slept most of the day catching up on some sleep from working out so hard for football. Saturday night my dad and I went to town and bought some ice fishing stuff for Sunday morning, we went to Bob Ward’s and Wal-Mart. Finally this morning we woke up around 5 A.M. to go ice fishing we got up and grabbed some odds and ends and then got on the road out to the Silos. We unloaded and headed out towards to our spot that we were at the past Sunday for the fishing derby. We drilled a couple of holes and dropped in the Vexilar and then next thing you know WHAMM fish on. We didn’t do as well as we did last weekend but we still caught twenty Perch, so I was still happy. Well this week is at the end and I hope next week is just as great.
