The Big 20!!!!
Like two blankets one from my mom and one from Ms. Abigail, also Cowboys popcorn bowls, a Cowboys jacket from Ms. Abigail but it’s a little too small so she’s going to get me bigger size. Well now on Christmas we watched the new Batman movie the Dark Night since none of my family had seen it and once again it is a wicked sweet movie.
Then I traveled down to East Helena to Ms. Abigail’s house so I could open her presents, we ate a late lunch there and then went up to my house for a prime rib dinner. Tomorrow is the big day the days of all days MY BIRTHDAY I’ll be twenty years old and loving life. We are going Vegas bowling and Ms. Abigail is taking me to lunch then my parents are taking me out to dinner. My family goes above and beyond on Birthdays, they are a very big thing to all of us, and so we celebrate them like it. Well ill let you all know how my Birthday goes! Again hope you all had a great Christmas!!!!!

Snow Snow Snow!!!!!
Well everyone all I can really say is snow, it has snowed here in Helena for the past couple of days and I love it. There’s just so many things that you can do outside like sledding, skiing, ice fishing but with the sow comes shoveling which we do every time it freaking snows, so people can get into their storage units. Well last Thursday I went down to Missoula to do some Christmas shopping with Ms. Abigail and after she “HELPED” me wrap the presents like I said she would. While down in Missoula I filled my truck up with gas, my aunt does most of her grocery shopping at Safeway and she has built up points to get money off your gas purchase, so I got 17.5 gallons of medium grade gas for five dollars even. Which is amazing, we figured it out and it cost somewhere around thirty cents a gallon, how sweet and since Butte doesn’t have a Safeway gas station she lets me use them. Well Christmas is getting down to the wire and I can officially say that I have done all my shopping and glad to be done. Well since I have been on break I really have done nothing to exciting yet, except hang with a couple old high school friends. I haven’t done any fishing or skiing yet but I have time still, it’s just been so darn cold outside. Well I’m cooking dinner tonight so I’ll check back in on Christmas.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello everyone. I know it’s been a while since I have last blogged, and I’m so sorry. I have just been so busy with the last week of school and driving to get home for Thanksgiving. In my last blog, I had told you that I would be pretty much living in the library for the last week of school before we got out, and that statement was very much true. I ended up finding two other students from my classes to study with, which helps out so much, because then we get a lot accomplished and study for longer periods of time. I got home last Friday night, and my father’s birthday was Thursday, so my family waited for me to get home so we could go out to dinner and open presents together. We ended up going to the Macaroni Girl which is always really good. I always get the chicken parmesan. Since this was my dad’s 50th birthday we got him something pretty big for it. We got him a new fish finder for our 20ft Lund. This baby does it all: it has a built in GPS and has maps of all the water in the United States, and it even shows the different types of structures on the lake floor. Well this week my parents and I have been looking for a new vehicle for me to drive. So far our luck has been pretty bad, but we are keeping our fingers crossed. For Thanksgiving, we will be traveling to Whitehall to my aunt and uncle’s house to eat dinner. All the girls come back and go shopping on BLACK FRIDAY, and the guys stay and hunt for the monster bucks. Well, I hope everyone has a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Cow Elk!
Well, hello to all my blog readers. Just a warning, this blog is going to talk a lot about hunting, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. So last Friday, I went up to our hunting cabin, and let’s just say I had a blast. I ended up shooting my cow elk early Saturday morning at just around day break. My dad, my sister’s boyfriend and I were walking across the creek and just about into the trees so we could make our way down the valley to our spot. As we were just about into the trees, two animals that I thought were does, came trotting off the other side valley towards us, but to our surprise, they were two cow elk. So we shot them right on the spot and dragged them back to the cabin and had them hung by 8:30 that morning. After we got the elk hung up, we heard a lot of other shooting going on, so we decided to back out hunting, but since I already shot my elk I just scouted for the others. The next day was just about the same thing: a lot of hunting which meant a lot of scouting for me, but I don’t mind because it’s fun to see more elk and help our friends out. We skinned my elk up at the cabin to keep from getting a mess in our friend Bill’s garage; we have to hang it there because we don’t really have a garage since we sold our house. Sunday night I watched the Cowboys play a very hard fought game, which ended in our favor thank God. Tony Romo is finally back, which is about a thousand times better than having Brad Johnson at QB. This week I’ll be doing a lot of studying since I have two tests on Friday, Pre-Calc and Accounting. Have a good week, and I’ll check back in before I head home!

OVER!
Hey to all you readers. Life has officially slowed down because football is now over. We went up to Havre on Thursday night after practice and got beat badly. The score I think was 35 to 3, not in our favor by far. On Friday we sat around the hotel just hanging out waiting for the day to go by, which kind of sucked but I think it’s a lot better than riding up Friday night on the bus because at least we could walk around instead of being stuck on a bus for five hours. After the game, I stayed in Havre with my parents at their hotel room. I sat in the hot tub for a while, and then Sully, his parents, Ashton, Shannon, his parents, and my parents ate pizza in the pool area and talked. Saturday we came back, and I went down to Whitehall to my uncle’s so I could try to find a nice buck. I didn’t see any bucks, only around eight does. On Sunday, my dad and I went hunting up at our spot and didn’t see a thing, but there was a lot of fresh elk poop around so that’s always a good sign. Well last night after hunting, I went to Sportsman’s Warehouse and bought a ground blind for hunting. I also bought a doe call called a bleat and a buck call called a grunt which I will use in my new blind. Tonight I’m going over to Whitehall so I can hunt tomorrow morning and night which I hope goes a little better than last time. On Friday I will be heading up to our hunting cabin that we have rented every hunting season since I can remember. It’s an old cabin that doesn’t have electricity so everything runs on car batteries but there is a landline phone there. It’s kind of weird. Well, I’ll talk more about the cabin next time! Have a great week.

A Little Spice!!
Hello to all my blog readers. First things first, I’m giving a shout out to Justine because I forgot to give her one. So I’m sure you have all heard that we lost to Carroll College on Saturday at Alumni Coliseum. The score was 10 to 6. We started out the game hard and fast and didn’t stop until the last buzzer, but we didn’t come out on top. The score at halftime was 3-0 in our favor, and we ended up kicking another field goal. Carroll kicked a field goal and scored on a quarterback scramble. Is it just me or does Carroll just get lucky every time the game is on the line? We beat them in the stat books again, but somehow they find a way to beat us. But I have another three years, and at the minimum, I will play them six more times which gives me great pleasure. So something very exciting happened to me today at football film. I was announced the offensive player of our game, which an offensive lineman doesn’t usually ever get, so it made it that much more special. So this week is going to have some spice in it. Our game is on Friday night instead of Saturday afternoon because Northern and the high school share a stadium, and the high school has a playoff game Saturday, so our game got bumped. But tomorrow I have work, school, weight lifting, film and finally a trip home for the third time this year, so I can vote. I’m not going to say much about the elections except I’m glad they’re over because I’m so sick of the commercials and everything. So I will go home Monday night so I can hunt Tuesday morning then vote then come home to practice. We will have practice on Tuesday through Thursday then make our way up to Havre Thursday after practice for our last game of the season. Our coaches started telling us today and we will be told many times over this week that our season and team will be remembered by our last game and how we perform. Well, hopefully I get something hunting, and have a great week everyone!

This is Our House!
Welcome my blog readers to an update of my life! So the last time we chatted, hunting season was beginning and we were going to play the Rocky Mountain Bears. Now for an update of both. On Saturday, we did exactly what I said in my last blog, punching the Bears right in the face and sending them packing. Now the game was a good game, and we mentally and physically outdid them on Saturday. Our offense did well putting points on the board, and our defense did good by keeping points off the board from a high power throwing team. Now after the game, Abby and I went to Helena so I could go hunting on Sunday. Saturday night after we arrived to Helena, Abby, my parents and I went to Applebee’s for some dinner. The service is pretty hit or miss there, and that night was a miss in my books because of my dad’s dinner. We all got our dinners, and my dad’s ribs were cold and sauceless. So he sent them back, and they forgot about them for around an hour. So they paid for his ribs, but they still weren’t very good when he finally got them. We were not very impressed. So now let’s talk about opening day. We went up to Rimini from the Basin side, which I can officially say is a long ass way up to our hunting spot, like seventeen miles from the city of Basin. So after arriving to our spot (which we have hunted on opening day since the beginning of my hunting days), we couldn’t get our four wheelers up the trail because of the snow. So we walked up this pretty steep trail, but my dad and I didn’t have a good feeling because the snow was very crunchy while we were walking on it, which means that the elk can hear you from a distance. So instead of doing our usual walk through our spot, we did some walking and then sitting hoping something would walk to us. On another subject, we play Carroll College this Saturday at Alumni Coliseum. Carroll is still ranked number one, but unlike last time, we plan on knocking off the best team in the NAIA. We plan on doing this just like we have done it the past couple of weeks by punching them right in the face and sending them packing. Coach keeps telling us about the great opportunity we have ahead of us to play and beat the team with the longest win streak in the nation. On Thursday I will travel over to Whitehall after practice to do a little whitetail hunting at my uncle’s like I did much of last hunting season. Well, hope you like my blog. Chat with you later.

Opening Day!!!!
Happy Friday already everyone! So is it just me, or does the week just fly by? It seems like we just finished our football game, and then I blink and I’m lined up against our next opponent. I’m being serious. I can’t believe how fast our season has gone by and especially the weeks. I just really can’t explain it. Well on a more serious note: this is a shout out to Andrew Bishop, my Madden partner. Now for a little history, Bishop and I play our share of Madden together and I have only beaten him once in my life. But I made history on Tuesday night playing with our usual teams, San Francisco for him and Dallas for me. The first game was very good with ME ON TOP 10-7. Now due to Bishop’s frustration, he wanted a rematch, so of course I agreed, and I’m proud to say I SPANKED HIM 25-7. Now for me beating him only two times before this, I’m pretty proud of this. Well this weekend is one of my most favorite weekends during the year. HUNTING SEASON BEGINS. After the game on Saturday, Abby and I will travel home so I can hunt Sunday morning and then travel back to Butte for film at 3:15. I’ve never shot anything opening day, but I will try to change that, so wish me luck. I shoot a Remington model 700, 300 ultra magnum stainless steel synthetic with a 3-9 Buckmaster Nikon scope. It shoots 3500 feet per second, and I like to call him “old reliable”. Since football cuts three weeks into hunting season and I can’t go home every time I want to hunt, I go over to my Aunt and Uncle’s in Whitehall to their house to hunt whitetails. I’ll probably start going over Monday nights after film and hunting Tuesday mornings. Now over there I shoot the old rifle I used to hunt with, my 30-06, which works perfect. This weekend before I can go hunting, we play the Rocky Mountain Bears, and we have some pay back to dish out. Last time we met, in Billings, the conditions were grueling, the temperature was roasting (around 97 degrees) and there was not a cloud in sight. Now I’m not blaming the conditions for our loss, but they were definitely a factor. But I feel like we’re in much better shape than the Rocky Bears, and the first play of our game we plan on just punching them right in the face and sending them packing. Well I’ll check back in later. Good luck to all hunters going out on Sunday!

Cowboys 4-3???????
Does anyone know what the hell is up with the Dallas Cowboys? Because I don’t. We have a powerful offense and not a shabby defense, but we are not winning. We have lost two in a row, which is way too many. Today we lost to the St. Louis Rams who are one of the worst teams in the NFL and had one of the worst performances that I have seen. But I’m sticking with my Cowboys to win the Super Bowl this year; this team has the rawest talent and will dominate. Now to more of a local subject, we won our second straight game by beating the University of Montana Western Bulldogs. Good job Diggers! My shoulder is a lot better, and I started again this weekend. The game started out with us going up 17-3 in the first half. We talked at half time and told ourselves that we weren’t going to let them back in the game, but that’s exactly what we did. Everyone blinked, and the score was 17-17. Our team looked like Western did in the first half. Our defense made a couple stops, and then our offense put the game in the history books by driving down the field and scoring one more time and then eating the clock up with us big men up front. After the game, I road back with my parents, which is always more comfortable than the bus. My parents came down Friday night and left this afternoon. Like always, it was nice seeing them and having them around to talk to and hang with. So I’m getting really excited for HUNTING SEASON TO START this coming Sunday. I don’t know where I’ll be hunting at, but I will be hunting somewhere. Well, this week is just like many others with tests, school, football and life LOL!! Have a great week everyone.

Grilled Cheese Dipped in Applesauce!
So on the day of our game it was raining and overcast outside, which usually are the ingredients for a sloppy game, but the field conditions weren’t that terrible for our game against the Northern Lights. So we lost our game against the Northern Lights, if you haven’t heard. We lost 16-9, which is a heartbreaker for our Digger team; we aren’t going to give up this season even though our season isn’t going as we hoped it was. I started once again against the Lights. I feel like I played a pretty good game but I did jump offsides, so on Tuesday I will have to run a full gasser after practice. After the game my parents, sister and her boyfriend Vance, aunt, grandfather, and Abby came over to my house to eat tacos. It was fun to have everyone over and to get to talk with them and watch football. Everyone didn’t stay long, and then my parents and sister made their way back home to Helena so they could move into their new apartment. Last night Abby and I walked down to some of my buddies’ house and watched football and ate some pizza. We stayed there until around 11pm, and we both were so tired that we decided to come home and hit the hay. Sundays for me usually entail watching football and checking my fantasy football team. This Sunday was the first Sunday that we have not had to practice. We only had film, so it was nice. Abby and I made grilled-cheese sandwiches with tomato soup (of course I dip my sandwiches in applesauce, which probably most of you think that it’s gross, but don’t hate on it till you’ve tried it). Tomorrow I have to lift, go to school, and watch film, so I have a pretty busy day, but NO practice will be a nice break in the action. Well I’ll check back in with you all later this week!!!!!!

The Northern Lights are Running Wild in The Land of The Midnight Sun!
So the Northern Lights are running wild in the land of the midnight sun according to Coach Green. Northern seems to think that this game is going to be a blow out in their favor for some reason. On some internet site they seem to think that our Offensive line is terrible, and Northern’s Defensive line seems to think that theirs is the best. This weekend is supposed to be rainy and cold, so this game will be interesting. Abby is on her way down for the weekend to watch me play football, and my parents are doing the same. So is it just me, or does your week go as fast as mine does? It seems like I just played a football game yesterday, and now we have another one tomorrow. So great news everybody! The Sunday after Thanksgiving I will be going to see AC/DC in Seattle unless we make the playoffs in football (which I hope we do). Well nothing really exciting happened this week, so Ill chat with you later!!!

We Must Protect This House
Hello my loyal blog readers. This blog is coming from our local library, which makes me bring up my next subject. I’m probably in the library around three days a week, give or take a day. So I’m sitting in the library last night, and I take a break from procrastinating with my Business Ethics paper. I’m looking around, and I see three different people on their cell phones texting. This makes me laugh and think about how people come into the library for many different reasons. Some are to get away from distractions and to get work done, yet people bring their cell phones with them, because let’s just say that texting is not just something we do, it’s a way of life these days. Now I’m guilty of this as well, because I bring my cell phone into the library even though I want to be focused and get work done. Think about if you do the same. Really, think about how many texts you send in a day or about when you’re texting in class instead of paying close attention. Has texting taken over our lives? Well, now that I got that out in the open I feel much better. Well we traveled to my home town yesterday to play the Carroll College Saints and we lost. Well to sum up the game Carroll scored on the first play of the game but our offense charged down the field 81 yards and touched it off with a touchdown. Carroll scored two more times on us so at halftime the score was 7-21. We didn’t come out the second half like we did at the beginning of the game, our defense made some big stops but we couldn’t capitalize on them unfortunately. We have a good team but we just need to put everything together and play up to our potentials. Well we play the Northern Lights from Havre; they will make the long journey down to our house which we will defend. Well another week in school and life well check back in later this week!!!

Were coming CC!!!!!
Well this football season so far has not been exactly what everyone thought it would be, but the year is not even close to being over, and we aren’t going to give up. We have our rivals next, the Carroll College Saints, and they are number one in the nation. We are going to give them a run for their money, like every year, but this year is going to be different! So I sold my 1987 Ford pickup truck, and now I’m in the process of buying another vehicle. I don’t know what I want but something with good gas mileage. I don’t know what it is, but it seems like during the fall semester of school I just don’t really feel like school much. I don’t know if it’s because I’m so busy or the weather, but during spring semester I really like school and don’t feel so run down. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Montana Tech and everything, but my life is so crazy, and from football to homework I stay really busy. Being an athlete, a student and trying to have a social life is a very large load to have. My math teacher from last year and I were talking, and with many years of teaching athletes she has seen students have only two of the three and be successful at them. So if you haven’t heard, we lost last weekend in Billings to the Rocky Bears which Montana Tech hasn’t done in I think eight years. We stayed at the Billings Hotel which has a waterslide and the O-Line and I went down many times, probably too many times. We had around twenty football players go down the slide at a time making a huge train which probably wasn’t the safest thing to do, but it was at least fun. Then we would go down the other slide which was short and fast with all of us and make a wave pool out of the swimming pool which the littler kids seemed to enjoy, so it was all in good fun.

When you’re in a hole, quit digging!!!!!
This weather is driving me crazy. One day it’s 90 degrees, and then it’s raining for a week. That’s Montana for ya. Well, I started again for the Diggers this past weekend. Our opponents were the University of Montana Western Bulldogs, and we finally won a game (21-17). With our 0-2 record before this weekend, Coach Green kept telling us a simple saying: “When you’re in a hole, quit digging,” and that’s exactly what the Oredigger football team did on Saturday afternoon. Every game I get more and more relaxed and have more and more fun. This by far was my enjoyable game yet this year, because first we won the game, and second of all, it was at home with our KICK ASS crowd. Since my mom was already down here, my dad came down Friday night as did Abby, so my house was pretty packed. That night me and the rest of the offensive linemen went to the Montana Club for a pregame dinner and ate too much food. Saturday after we beat Western, I had most of my family over to my house for I guess what you would call a post-game social. We ordered pizza, and my little cousins ran around like chickens with their heads cut off. Then yesterday I watched my fantasy football and the NFL religiously, and around three, Abby headed back to Missoula, and I had football plus film. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about the career fair. I walked around being pretty nervous, I guess you could say, but I sucked it up and ended up getting an interview with Rio Tinto and thought it went very well. They had me sign up on their website and fill out an application so we’ll see what happens. Cross your fingers.

CARPEYE???
So dedicating your life to eradicating Walleye from Canyon Ferry I guess you could say is a pretty bold statement and shows my true feelings towards these garbage fish. To me there really is no difference in Carp or Walleye, might as well call them CARPEYE! So today I went CARPEYE fishing LOL and I personally caught one baby but my father on the other hand caught a huge old one which was really SAWEET because I have never seen a CARPEYE LOL this enormous. Well I have officially started the countdown until Madden 2009 is released on August 12th I have been doing research and I’m pretty positive that it is going to be sweeter than ever. I have sticky notes with the days until the ultimate game will be in my hands. So this week should be a pretty busy week due to I have to start moving like a said in my last blog and then my friends and I are going to rent a water trampoline for the day and have a barbeque. We are going to do this because I leave for football way before they go back to school so I’m really excited for this to happen. Well have a good week and try to stay cool!!!
